How MOVEFORBETTERLIFE handles your data
Move4BetterLife is operated by MOVEFORBETTERLIFE Co., Ltd. ("Move4BetterLife," "we," "our," or "us"). We connect securely to Strava and Garmin to turn workouts into motivation and insights while respecting every member’s privacy choices.
Data we collect
- Account details you share (name, email, organization, timezone).
- Activity data authorized through Strava and Garmin (distance, time, energy, heart rate summary, device type).
- Engagement and motivation inputs (challenges joined, streak status, reactions).
- Support conversations, reviewer notes, and metadata used to resolve requests.
How we use the data
- Deliver personalized motivation loops, insights, and team dashboards.
- Maintain secure integrations, detect sync errors, and provide reviewer packets.
- Fulfill legal obligations, audit requests, and policy enforcement.
- Respond to support tickets and improve Move4BetterLife features.
Your workouts stay under your control
Activity summaries are stored for 12 months by default, then anonymized or deleted unless your organization requests a shorter window. You can disconnect integrations or request deletion at any time.
- Deletions triggered in-app or via email are processed within two hours.
- Reviewer evidence and audit logs retain only the minimum required artifacts.
- We never sell personal data or share it with advertisers.
If a partner program requires longer retention, we document the request and surface it before you enroll.
Security practices
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256) for all sensitive stores.
- Scoped API tokens with automatic rotation every 90 days.
- Role-based access, mandatory security training, and background checks for staff.
- Independent penetration testing and SOC 2 control mapping performed annually.
When we share data
We only share personal data with:
- Vendors that help us operate Move4BetterLife (hosting, analytics, email). Contracts require confidentiality and security controls.
- Strava, Garmin, or similar partners when responding to reviewer requests about your integration approval.
- Law enforcement when legally required. We review each request, limit scope, and notify you when permitted.
We may share aggregated and anonymized statistics that cannot identify individuals.
Your choices and rights
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Ask us to erase synced activities or your entire account.
- Restriction & objection: Limit processing where we rely on legitimate interest.
- Portability: Receive machine-readable activity summaries you authorized.
